Australian Swing Dance Championships
Polish Club Ashfield has a large dance floor and lots of seating for spectators that will provide a great atmosphere for our first night of SLX 2024. A night to compete with or spectate some of Australia’s best Swing Dancers, as well as social dancing opportunities.

Legals: All ages event (U18’s must be accompanied by a parent) / NO BYO / Full Bar and Bistro facilities
11.30PM - 2:00AM
SLX Up Late at Polish Club
This yea, SLX Up Late moves to the Polish Club. With ASDC and up late at the same venue, there’s no need to travel - just stay and keep dancing.
A timber dance floor, licensed bar and snacks will keep you going into the wee hours..
This is a NO BYO event.

Deco Dance
Experience the glamour of the Deco Dance, as you don your dapper attire, or dress up in your finest vintage. This is a glamorous event not to be missed.
Held in the beautiful Leichhardt Town Hall, built in 1888, this historic venue provides the perfect for an evening of dancing.
Parking is easy with unrestricted weekend parking available in the Marion Street Car Park directly behind Leichhardt Town Hall. The venue is also well serviced by buses, with multiple routes stopping nearby.

P-Jam Late Night Pyjamas Party
We are excited for the return of a classic SLX event: P-JAM Late Night!
Anyone who has attended this event in the past has had the fun experience of dancing in their pyjamas amongst a group of swing dancers. A quick change from your vintage outfits from Deco Dance into your novelty, vintage inspired or most comfortable pyjamas and you will be ready to hit the dancefloor.
There will be prizes for best dressed outfits, a few fun games, a fabulous band and some fantastic DJ’s playing swing music and some party tracks to keep the party going till the wee hours.
La Fiesta Dance Factory will be the venue, with a large timber dancefloor.
This is a BYO only event.

SUN 13 SEPT
2.00pM - 6.00pM
Swing Out at The Colombian
Finish the weekend off dancing at the fabulous art deco cocktail bar at The Colombian Hotel. Chill out with a few drinks, dance up a storm, hang with your new swing friends from SLX, and enjoy a Iive band (TBA). A special performance may also occur. Have those last drinks and chats with your new SLX Friends from 2026 afterwards at the rooftop bar.
This is an over 18's licensed venue with full bar service available. No BYO food or drinks will be permitted into the venue.
