Experience the thrill and excitement of the Australian Swing Dance Championships 2026—an unforgettable night showcasing some of the scene’s best Swing dancers as they compete for prestigious trophies and national titles.
Competition has always been at the heart of the Lindy Hop scene, dating back to the legendary Savoy Ballroom in Harlem. The ASDC continues this vibrant tradition, welcoming dancers of all levels. Events include Balboa, Collegiate Shag, Solo Jazz, Team Performances, and the crowd-favourite Mix n Match—no partner required!
New to competing? Don’t worry—the supportive atmosphere, high energy, and camaraderie from fellow dancers will make you feel right at home. We can’t wait to see you light up the floor!
Not competing? There’s plenty for you too! Social dancing will take place throughout the evening, so everyone gets a chance to join in the fun.

SLX Up Late at Polish Club
Looking to continue the dancing into the wee hours of the morning? SLX Up Late has you covered.
This year we’re excited to be trying a new venue for our late-night dance. Following the Australian Swing Dance Championships, we’ll be heading straight into SLX Up Late at the Polish Club. With both events taking place in the same venue, there’s no need to travel across town - simply stay, relax and keep the dancing going!
As the party moves into the later hours, our DJ’s will move into a slow lindy/chilled, blues vibe.
Dance floor surfaces include timber, carpet and tiles. We recommend slippery soled shoes to suit all surfaces.
A licensed bar with snacks available will help take your dancing till the wee hours. This is a non-BYO event. SLX Up Late is the perfect Place to finish your evening.

The Deco Dance
Experience the glamour of the Deco Dance, as you don your dapper attire, or dress up in your finest vintage.
This year we’re excited to be dancing at the beautiful Leichhardt Town Hall. Built in 1888, this historic Victorian Italianate venue, has been a favourite for dance events for generations and provides the perfect setting for Deco Dance.
This will be a night full of dancing with a fabulous live band – Eamon McNelis Skellingtons, DJ’s, welcome snow ball and the Shim Sham. Don’t miss this highlight event of the weekend!
Parking is easy with unrestricted weekend parking available in the Marion Street Car Park directly behind Leichhardt Town Hall. The venue is also well serviced by buses wit multiple routes stopping nearby.

P-Jam Late Night- Pyjamas Party
We are excited for the return of a classic SLX event: P-JAM Late Night!
After and evening an evening at Deco Dance, swap your vintage finery for your novelty, vintage inspired or most comfortable pyjamas and join us for a night of dancing, laughs and late-night fun.
This year we are trying a new venue with festivities taking place at La Fiesta Dance Factory. Expect a welcome atmosphere, a factastic dance floor and plenty of opportunities to show off your best sleepwear.
There will be prizes for best dressed outfits, a few fun games and some fantastic DJ’s playing swing music and some party tracks to keep the party going till the wee hours.
Please note this is a BYO-only event, so be sure to bring your favourite drinks!

Swing Out at The Colombian
Join us for the official closing party of SLX 2026. Dance with your new friends and party till we meet again at next year's SLX or another national event.
The Colombian Hotel Cocktail Lounge is the perfect venue for our last event of the weekend. A perfect venue to relax, have a drink, or just Swing Out!
Featuring huge plush booths, the cocktail lounge boasts original high ceilings with classic finishes and a huge luxurious marble bar with fluted brass detailing. The space is elegant, intimate and comfortable with huge floor to ceiling windows giving view to the iconic Oxford Street.
Our live band for the afternoon and our DJ's will ensure the dancing never ends! A surprise performance may also take place.
Say good bye to new friends afterwards with a drink at the rooftop bar
This is an over 18's licensed venue with full bar service available. No BYO food or drinks will be permitted into the venue.
