6–8 SEPT 2019

What is SLX?

Sydney Lindy Exchange is a weekend long Swing Dancing extravaganza, running from the 6th-8th September 2019 in Australia’s beautiful Harbour City!

Featuring three nights of social dancing with live bands and top shelf DJ’s in awesome venues – including the Saturday night Deco Dance, the ever popular P-Jam and two late night parties.

There are also plenty of opportunities to learn with two days of workshops with international teachers Mikey Pedroza and Nikki Marvin (Orange County, USA), visiting Australia exclusively for SLX.

And if you want to challenge yourself further, we are once again hosting the Australian Swing Dance Championships (ASDC).

Join us for Sydney’s longest running and most popular Swing Dance Festival, with friendly dancers from here, interstate and abroad!

Social dancing

SLX prides itself on finding unique and impressive venues for all our social dances. Running over 3 nights, with late nights happening on the Friday and Saturday nights until the wee hours, you will be able to dance till your heart's content!

We love to bring the World’s best teachers to SLX. This year, it's no different!

We are very excited to host Mikey Pedroza, an acclaimed International Swing Dancer, teacher and choreographer known for his impeccable style and technical precision, and Nikki Marvin – an SLX favourite – a leading performer, competition dancer/teacher and co-owner of Atomic Ballroom. Both teachers are excited to share their love of Lindy Hop at SLX.

These classes will run over two days at the amazing brand new Harold Park Community Hall, within the Tramsheds Harold Park.

SLX is proud to present the Australian Swing Dance Championships for 2019. Competition events provide dancers of all levels the opportunity to enter and improve their dancing, as well as having the chance to win a National Title.
