Accommodation and getting around

There are lots of great accommodation options that are close by to some of the SLX events. The best areas to look in are Marrickville, Newtown, Broadway, Glebe and Darlinghurst. We recommend trying one of the many accommodation websites such as trivago.com.au or airbnb.com.au.

Public transport in Sydney is frequent and accessible and an easy option for getting around. If you plan on travelling by public transport for most of your stay, we recommend purchasing an Opal Card from any train station or most convenience stores, where you can also top up as needed.

hosting or being hosted

The Swing Dance community is a great, friendly bunch of people and quite often someone with a spare bed or couch is more than happy to offer it up to dancers travelling from interstate or overseas. This is a great option for people on a tight budget.
